In 1997, LUNA ZOME was born — a basic skincare line that set out to reinvent what cosmetics could be.

Single-layer liposomes are so delicate that they are said to be difficult to formulate into cosmetics.
After years of development, we succeeded in formulating them — and that is how the LUNA ZOME series was born.
This is also why Retim Lotion and Moisture Gel, which contain these delicate, ultra-small capsules, need to be stored in a cool, dark place.

A liposome is a nano-sized capsule with a membrane made of the same component as human cell membranes (lecithin). It is extremely small and highly flexible.
Because the liposomes used in the LUNA ZOME series are ultra-small and single-layer, they penetrate deep into the stratum corneum to care for the skin, and help the skin absorb the ingredients they carry. (Contained in Retim Lotion and Moisture Gel.)
